Paper Recycling

Your waste is worth more than you think.

Savvy managers know that sustainability goals can be met without compromising growth targets. But we find they often aren’t aware how much more revenue they could be collecting from their paper waste. We design recycling solutions for client partners that align with their individual growth opportunities while also supporting the environment. We’ve done it for municipalities and companies ranging from small businesses all the way up to multinationals in the Fortune 500. We’ve had over 95 years of success with high grade recycling of paper and corrugated.

Faq

  • What types of paper does Mid America Paper Recycling accept?

We accept more than 50 grades of pre-consumer paper waste, including office waste, sorted news, magazines, coated and uncoated white grades, printer grades, folding carton grades, books, tubes and cores, silicone papers, and much more. We do not accept residential paper waste.

  • How does commercial paper recycling work?

We start with a free waste audit to assess your current process, waste volumes, and paper grades. From there, we design a recycling plan, provide training and equipment recommendations, and handle pickup using our own fleet or trusted freight partners. We then market your materials to the mills that pay the most for each specific grade.

  • How do we earn more revenue from our paper waste?

The key is proper separation of paper grades. There are 51 grades, and different paper mills pay different prices for each. Companies that separate grades before pickup consistently earn more per ton than those that combine grades into mixed paper. Our waste audit identifies exactly where your facility can improve separation to capture more value.

  • Do you handle paper recycling for companies with multiple locations?

Yes. We work with businesses ranging from single-location operations to large multinationals with national and international footprints. Our logistics team coordinates pickups across multiple facilities and provides unified reporting.

  • What equipment do you use to process paper?

At our Chicago facility, we operate high-speed balers, shredders, and guillotines capable of processing over 50 grades of paper. We also offer equipment recommendations, lending, and training for client facilities.

  • How do I get started with paper recycling services?

The first step is our free waste audit. You can start the process online at midamericapaper.com or call us at 773-890-5454. Once the audit is complete, we'll present a detailed recycling plan and revenue projection for your approval.
